The 8th Swiss Hernia Days conference is scheduled to be held from October 23-24, 2025, in Basel, Switzerland. Building on six successful years, the organizers are continuously striving to enhance the congress experience for both participants and industry partners. To this end, a strategic decision was made to change the congress venue and initiate a collaboration with a new congress secretary. The upcoming event will now take place at the distinguished Novartis campus in Basel, situated at the heart of Switzerland’s “life science center,” aiming to foster an even more inspiring atmosphere amidst exceptional architecture and a vibrant spirit of science and research, mirroring the positive reception of the 2024 edition.
This year’s program will once again feature an esteemed lineup of renowned national and international hernia experts, who will share their insights through up-to-date lectures and engaging discussions. Beyond traditional talks, a keynote lecture, and industry symposia, the agenda will notably include the popular “Champions League” session, a deferred live surgery session, and a dedicated networking event, all designed to facilitate knowledge exchange and professional connections within the field.
