The 5th symposium on epigenetic inheritance and epigenetics, continuing a tradition from its previous editions, will convene leaders and experts from diverse disciplines. This event will span a wide range of scientific aspects, from epidemiology to behavior, metabolism, underlying mechanisms, and methodologies applicable to both human and animal models. The program is set to include insightful keynote lectures from invited speakers, along with opportunities for junior researchers to deliver short talks and flash presentations selected from submitted posters. This symposium is conceived as a live forum for discussing the current state of research, new findings and discoveries, the challenges inherent to the discipline, and future perspectives for biology, medical research, and broader society.
Beyond the scientific talks, the symposium will feature two dedicated poster sessions, culminating in a best poster award. Social and networking opportunities will include a terrace dinner on the rooftop of the main ETH building. A workshop is also planned for the conclusion of the symposium. Upholding the event’s unique tradition of integrating science and art, a competition will be organized, showcasing art pieces created by attendees that interpret the theme of epigenetic inheritance, with all submissions exhibited and one selected for a special award.
