CRISPR Screening and Analysis

September 21 - September 26

CRISPR screening, both pooled and arrayed, offers powerful tools for research and clinical discovery. While arrayed screening focuses on targeted gene editing to study specific gene functions and biological pathways, pooled screening supports high-throughput, genome-wide investigations for rapid gene identification.

Building on the 2024 CRISPR Cellular Generation and Modelling course, this training leverages the expertise of the Wellcome Sanger Institute and the Open Targets initiative. Participants will gain in-depth insight into the principles, techniques, and applications of CRISPR screening in both research and translational contexts.

The course is delivered in two parts: a 5-day virtual module (28 July – 1 August 2025) covering genome informatics, computational design, and data analysis; and a 5-day in-person module (21–26 September 2025) featuring hands-on lab and informatics workshops. Eighteen participants will be selected to attend both components, with an additional eighteen places available for the virtual section only.
