Genetic Analysis of Population-based Association Studies

September 1 - September 5

This advanced course is designed to equip researchers working on genetic disease with a solid foundation in the latest statistical approaches and tools for genetic association studies. It covers methods applicable to both focused disease-specific studies and large-scale collaborative projects, including those that involve complex traits, such as data from UK Biobank.

Participants will gain both theoretical understanding and hands-on experience in designing and analysing genetic studies. Each topic will be introduced through a lecture and followed by practical exercises using cutting-edge statistical software applied to relevant datasets, reinforcing the concepts covered.

All software used during the course is freely available and will be pre-installed on training room machines. This ensures that participants can continue to use the tools and techniques confidently in their own research after the course concludes.
